Every human being is entitled to certain rights and freedom irrespective of their origin, ethnicity,
race, color, nationality, citizenship, sex, or religion. These rights are considered universal for
humanity. It is vital to inculcate these Human Rights among the students through their education.
For delivering this knowledge the teachers themselves are required to have awareness related to
human rights. In this study, an attempt has been made to analyze Human Rights awareness
among university teachers. For this study, a sample of 40 teachers has been collected. The
findings show that most of the teachers are average in human rights awareness. It also shows that
there is no significant difference between awareness regarding Human Rights among university
teachers in a relation to gender.
