Abstract

A 71 years female patient admitted in hospital with complaints of bilateral nasal discharge which is foul smelling in nature profuse loss of smell, headache. She had a history of covid 19 positive past 2 months back. She is diabetic, hypertensive on regular medications post coronary artery bypass graft. Her nasal endoscopy suggested necrotized septal mucosa positive fungal filaments branching hyaline aseptate zygomycosis. Patient is admitted and investigated for further management. She is planned for surgical correction of bilateral functional endoscopic sinus surgery Septoplasty Right medial maxillectomy. A review on etiology pathogenesis is explained in literature review.
